Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Campus Recreation Assistant. The student worker will be a key player in the Office of Student Life’s mission to build a culture of involvement by directly serving students and getting them connected to the campus community. The student will be a key contributor to the implementation, marketing, and oversight of recreation programs. The student worker will also help engage the student population to support the student's continuous success through programming, training, and development. This role requires a significant level of autonomy, leadership, and responsibility.

Core Responsibilities:

• Implement peer-to-peer Fitness Center Liability Training by holding bi-weekly training to open opportunities for the campus population to ensure safe and professional usage of the equipment in the gym.
• Work directly with the Coordinator of Campus Recreation to plan and execute large scale daily recreation, fitness, and sporting events, including but not limited to basketball, hikes, pickleball, e-sports, etc.).
• Independently manage marketing projects as assigned to advance the mission of the Office of Student Life including but not limited to social media and personal outreach, creating & posting flyers, and tabling.
