Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

The Senior Director of Procurement Operations reports to the SVP, Global Sourcing and Workplace Services, and is responsible for the successful execution of leading, improving, and supporting procurement operations with a strong emphasis on customer service delivery and user experience to both our internal and external customers.

• Manage the team and processes to place purchase orders and manage supplier enablement within our ERP system. Estimated spend managed through this process is $2.5B annual.
• Serve as the overall procurement leader and closely partner with business leaders and sourcing (upstream process activities) and accounts payable and corporate accounting (downstream process activities).
• Enhance user experience through an effective governance model for customer engagement and a focus on quality and responsiveness.
• Conducts weekly, monthly, and quarterly review of implemented reporting and processes, continue to implement reporting as needed to be pro-active in identifying areas of follow up and remediation as it relates to procurement.
• Analyze current operational performance (inputs and outputs) to identify process gaps, opportunities for continuous improvement, and compliance integrity. Improvement opportunities should align with best practices and comply with company standards.
• Educate internal stakeholders on adherence to policies, best practice process, compliance, and controls.
• Develop team members, creating bench-strength among the team and cross-functional development opportunities for procurement employees.

• Effectively manage relationships with business functions and key stakeholders, leading two-way communication and collaboration regarding functional performance, continuous improvement, and opportunities for operational efficiencies.
• Maintain process integrity, ensure efficient and effective internal and SOX controls, compliance with policy and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Effectively managing the perceptions and expectations of business leaders and senior management is critical to the success of this role.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Business Process Professional (CBPP®) or Certified Business Process Leader (CBPL™) Qualification is highly preferred.
• The successful candidate will be expected to be highly self-motivated and innovative, with proven experience in successfully leading and supporting a best-in-class procurement function with similar spend throughput, providing top service delivery and actionable business insights through data and analytics.
• An ability to assess processes to identify opportunities for streamlining in order to shorten cycle time and improve quality of execution.
• A minimum of 15 years progressive experience in a multi-national organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or other discipline.
• Excellent analytical skills and a critical thinker; must have the ability to use excellent judgment and resolve issues with diplomacy, and effective decision making.
