As we prepare to open our brand-new location in Legacy, we’re seeking passionate, enthusiastic team members to join us and help spread our message.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Serve beverages and prepared food, avocado toast, pastries and muffins
- Receive and process payments (credit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean
- Maintain stock of clean cups and plates
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
- Engage warmly with customers, creating a welcoming and positive experience for each guest
- Communicate La La Land’s mission and values through daily interactions, embodying our culture of kindness
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive, energetic, and fun work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma: relevant training is a plus
- A naturally positive attitude and a genuine love for connecting with people
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Customer Service
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Basic math skills
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, holidays and weekends
