About the role

The Business Systems Analyst II is a part of the Institutional Banking Shares Services support team that partners with business unit stakeholders and technical staff to identify business system solutions for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Within IB Shared Services, this team interacts with 3rd party vendors and internal partners to understand what the line of business needs and works with vendors to develop and implement those software needs.

Each Analyst have a specific and impactful function for UMB to ensure Maintain accurate system and System Development LifeCycle documentation. Associates on the Business Systems Analyst team are subject matter experts that function similar as a program managers for software implementations, maintain low code solutions and system job runs.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Implementing, testing, and training internal partners with updated or new software’s for Trust systems
  • Handle the communication for software vendor updates within Trust systems
  • Assist with process improvement and conversions

This role focuses on ensuring software capabilities for lines of business are being met while identifying efficiencies for the department.
  • Design and develop dashboards, self-service tools, reports, data models, and scalable ad-hoc reporting.
  • Create best practices, document, and maintain proven procedures. Maintain accurate system and System Development Lifecycle documentation.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand business challenges that will benefit from analytics support.
  • Proactively analyze systems and output through self-initiated curiosity with an eye for operational improvement.
  • Partner with technical services teams to design technical solution to meet the business requirements.
  • Drive user adoption by developing best practices for systems.
  • Prepare and present trainings and provide consultative support to end users.
  • Construct test cases, develop test scripts and facilitate appropriate testing (unit, integration, system, QA, UAT)
  • Act as system liaison between UMB users of business application systems and the technical services group responsible for support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • You will use problem solving skills to determine what action needs to be taken to ensure software’s are operating smoothly and efficiently.
  • You will need strong communication skills to make a positive experience for external partners and internal partners.
  • You will have strong attention to detail to ensure correct information is utilized across all responsibilities.

  • 3-5 years Business Systems Analysis or operations support experience

Bonus Points if you:

  • Secondary degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration or related field OR equivalent education and work experience

Compensation Range:

$51,480.00 - $99,330.00
