This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify, develop, and deploy or refine manufacturing methods to improve quality, reduce cost and optimize build schedules.
- Translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional, high quality machined components.
- Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define manufacturing process.
- Define how to set up hardware for machining on mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
- Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
- Leads at the site level, the development, implementation, and maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration of major production hardware.
- Assists in developing major tooling and leads team in the development of multiple, interrelated tooling orders to support factory level needs based on master schedule commitments.
- Leads producibility assessments for part or product designs.
- Develops work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments for major hardware.
- Provides guidance to the development, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents and schedules at an organizational level
- Leads, trains and mentors new hires, individual contributors and/or multi-functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS/GED/Equiv required. Associate Degree or trade school in related field and/or 15+ years of manufacturing exper, or production experience or a combination of education and experience
- Formal training in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or lean methods
- Advanced experience with P6 or other GANTT-style project management tools.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Proficient with developing tooling and work holding fixtures to support machining processes.
- Proficient blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 / ASME Y14.100-2017 standard.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert technical knowledge in one or more fields
- Ability to lead independent contributors and lead a multi-functional team.
- Expert understanding of GD&T
- Expert with Manufacturing & CAD Software (Jules, CMES, Velocity, Enovia, Delmia, CATIA, CREO, Etc.)
