Summary
The person in this position interprets rules and regulations of the Department of Corrections while ensuring proper compliance with correctional policies and procedures. In charge of ensuring compliance with key control, tool control, and a member of the fire safety committee and the Quarterly Training Committee. This position is a liaison between MSP and the facility, works closely with Internal affairs and handles any investigations assigned by the Warden or Deputy Warden.Position Description
Examples of duties
Two years of experience equivalent to a Corrections Shift Supervisor 11 or Assistant Resident Unit Supervisor 11; OR, one year equivalent to a Corrections Shift Supervisor 12 or Resident Unit Manager 13.

The Department of Correction may screen out individuals who have been convicted of a felony in accordance with Public Act 191 of 2017.
An applicant who has been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony shall not be eligible for employment until one year after satisfactory completion of any sentence imposed, including parole or probation. However, an applicant with a conviction for a violation of the controlled substance act or criminal sexual conduct in any jurisdiction, including the military, will be ineligible for consideration for employment by the Department of Corrections.
