Visibility is seeking a National
Security Systems Security Engineer to work in
Springfield, VA. Candidate must possess
an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
The National Security
Systems (NSS) Security Engineer will support and enhance our national
security-related IT systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
designing, implementing, and managing secure systems that meet the rigorous
requirements of national security environments. This role will require
expertise in security architecture, risk management, and compliance with
government standards. The candidate design, implement, and maintain secure
systems and architectures in compliance with national security requirements.
They will conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities
and risks within National Security Systems. They will collaborate with
cross-functional teams to ensure that systems are compliant with federal and
DoD security regulations (e.g., CNSS 1253, NIST 800-53, RMF). The candidate
will develop and maintain detailed security documentation, including system
security plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans. It is expected the
candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance on the security
architecture of national security projects.
Requirements
● Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance● At least four (4+) years of experience in security architecture, with a focus on national security or defense systems
● Extensive knowledge of security frameworks and risk management methodologies (e.g., RMF, CNSS 1253, NIST 800-53)
● Proven experience designing and securing complex, classified IT systems
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
● GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), certification or equivalent
Preferred
● Experience with cross-domain solutions and secure information exchange systems
● Familiarity with the intelligence community and DoD security requirements.
