Common Questions:

• If a student does not arrive to meet the tutor in the virtual classroom for a scheduled session and the tutor is available to tutor, will the tutor be paid?
  Yes! Full session payment is provided to the tutor.
  

• I see that this is a high dosage tutor schedule, will I be able to have a consistent schedule from week to week to meet with the student on a regular basis?Yes! A set schedule from week to week (consistent days at consistent times).
• I will be traveling (or any other reason that a scheduled session is not convenient), can I request a substitute tutor? Yes! A substitute tutor can be arranged for a session in your overall scheduled series.

Requirements

Application Process:
Following your application you will be asked to record a one question, two minute response, the next step is to say hello at a virtual mock appointment to demonstrate your tutor skills with provided content. Here you can also learn more about the company and ask questions 1:1 with a mentor tutor. Tutors that receive a tutor agreement offer will be asked to consent to a background check and complete a brief self-paced curriculum orientation.

Note that this is a contract role and is not full-time. Hours will vary and Literra can’t guarantee a minimum number of hours each week as bookings are based on student demand and tutors availability. Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity.
• Ability to instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• A high comfort level with online virtual tools and technology.
• A computer with the Chrome browser, a camera, and a quality internet connection.
• Tutors must reside in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii and have a USA based bank account.

• Pay Rate:
  Tutors earn $18 per hour Optional: Successfully complete an assessment to tutor high school algebra I and earn $22 per hour for completed high school algebra I sessions.
