Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Oncology (PRN)

E S S E N T I A L  F U N C T I O N S

•  Assists in patient education as applicable including information to help patients understand diagnosis and treatment.
•  Supports families and patient in their understanding upcoming and ongoing procedures.
•  Coordinates transfer or referral arrangements.
•  Offers assistance in access to drug replacements and state and community programs that offer financial assistance for those without insurance.
•  Offers individual counseling, support groups and referrals to community counseling.
•  Other duties as assigned.

 

E D U C A T I O N

•  Master’s degree of Social Work required.

 

E X P E R I E N C E

•  Minimum of one (1) year experience as a social worker providing mental health services to patients and families in a hospital or other healthcare facility preferred.

 

C R E D E N T I A L S 

•  Must have a valid, current license to practice Social Work in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Mental Health Professions Licensing Board.
• Must have a current, valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Mental Health Professions Licensing Board.
• Must have a valid, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain with 60 days of hire and maintain credentialing throughout employment at IMH.
