POSITION SUMMARY:
Analyze and prepare qualitative and quantitative reports that support senior management in monitoring and optimizing performance of large global agency relationships in pharmaceutical sector, build internal cross-agency connections with finance and operation team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Determine client deadlines and reporting requirements. Lead internal processes to ensure on time, accurate delivery against deadlines.
- Set up questionnaires and templates designed to gather the data; work with teams around the world to collect the data. Consolidate data centrally into a single file for analysis.
- The types of data to be collected and processed are qualitative and quantitative financial and operational data, and will include:
- Financial and KPI data from scopes of work (project budgets, hours, fees, assets, expenses)
- Rate cards from Agencies and Finance teams
- Product and brand lists from Clients and Agencies
- Process summaries from Agencies
- Performance review data from Agencies
- Market research reports or publications
- Examine, evaluate, and clean the data before analysis—this requires high attention to detail and deep knowledge of pharmaceutical industry terminology (for example: brand names, molecular names, indications), along with knowledge of marketing terminology.
- Maintain onboarding resources across large global agency relationships in pharmaceutical sector, ensuring IPG agency networks have access and are alerted to any updates or changes.
- Analyze the data; summarize the findings in reports and dashboards (formats include Excel and PowerPoint); present results to key senior executives. Examples of the types of reports required are:
- Financial report summary of fees, hours, and expenses by product, by country, by company.
- Activity Reports: Quantity and type of marketing assets produced per country / per brand.
- Savings Reports: Efficiencies delivered on each scope and across entire global relationship, including unplanned or unbilled work.
- KPI Reports: number of projects delivered within budget, on time. Average number of rounds of review per project.
- Performance: Summary of agency performance evaluations
- Ad-hoc reporting: specific projects and topics such as supplier diversity
- Set up, organize, and maintain key databases to manage all the different types of data that are collected and reported.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years total work experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of healthcare strategy consulting or healthcare marketing agency experience in account management, new business, or operations.
- Ability to collate and synthesize input from large variety of internal & external sources (over 40 business units across 25 countries)
- Strategic curiosity, ability to draw conclusions from data and present recommendations to senior management.
- Strong data analysis and data presentation skills; detail oriented.
- Advanced to expert skill level in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
- Pharmaceutical industry, healthcare marketing, life sciences or biology experience; familiarity with medical terminology (therapy areas and indications).
- Flexibility to engage with global colleagues—working with teams located in multiple time zones (Americas, Europe, Asia)
- Comfort working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritizing rapid, timely responses to client requests.
NYC SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
