This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You’ll Work On
Lead a team of technicians in executing timely repairs and preventive maintenance activities
Lead a team of technicians in troubleshooting downtime concerns
Lead a cross functional to team to perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions
Perform payroll approval and Work Order Review
Write and conduct quarterly touchpoints with direct reports
Work with corporate HR to resolve Personnel matters
Engage with peer Supervisor’s to solve complicated problems
Maintain a safe and clean Maintenance Shop with daily inspections
Work weekends and holidays on a rotation with Maintenance peers
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
3 or more years leadership experience, or equivalent experience in a maintenance field
Strong, proven leadership experience with an emphasis on supervision of direct reports and influencing senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Previous experience as a mechanic, electrician or instrument tech beneficial
Extensive experience in leading/managing projects or process improvement initiatives
Previous Lean Six Sigma training / RCA experience
Extensive experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
