About the role

The IT Senior Manager of Global Internal Audit is responsible for the delivery of audit reports and contributing to the Global Internal Audit Assurance plan. This role coordinates amongst business stakeholders, software developers, technical engineers, information security, data analysts, and other functional subject matter experts to create a comprehensive and holistic roadmap that aligns with IHG's strategic objectives. The IT Senior Manager of Global Internal Audit must be able to work at both strategic and tactical levels. They will prioritize and execute the Global Internal Audit roadmap, managing the end-to-end audit lifecycle from planning to execution, reporting, and optimization in an agile methodology, pivoting as needed for the successful completion of projects. They will communicate and present results across all levels of the organization, including senior management. 

Your day to day - 

  • Audit Planning & Execution: Lead the creation and implementation of audit strategies based on business understanding, customer insights, and competitive analysis, resulting in a prioritized roadmap of initiatives. Manage a critical work area or functional scope for internal audit, overseeing other specialists and support staff. Organize and conduct stakeholder interviews to understand risks, tolerances, known issues, current controls, and governance processes. Document processes, data flows, controls, and assessment conclusions. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish relationships and connectivity between the Assurance team and business functions, obtaining insights for future audits and areas of opportunity. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making & Reporting: Source data to craft test plans using insights obtained from stakeholders to refine the audit testing. Create and develop comprehensive audit reports for communication to stakeholders and executive leaders, ensuring clarity and accuracy. 
  • Audit Lifecycle Management: Oversee audit lifecycles by evaluating performance, identifying new needs, and ensuring timely updates to prevent obsolescence. Lead and grow teams, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Communication and Development: Communicate audit information and updates to stakeholders, foster collaboration among team members, and guide junior team members in strategy, execution, and identifying training opportunities. 

What we need from you - 

  • Experience & Expertise: Minimum university degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent. Advanced knowledge and skills in internal audit, combining theory, best practices, and principles, as well as an extensive understanding of risks and control implications of hotel ownership models. 
  • Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written skills for conveying information, including audit reports, to diverse audiences, including senior management and executive leaders. Capable of acting independently and objectively, with the courage to present recommendations in potentially sensitive or contentious areas.
  • Program Management and Subject Matter Expert: Proven ability to manage multiple projects from conception to implementation, with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities. Additionally, expertise in relevant subject matter, ability to execute highly complex projects, and able to instruct or coach other team members. 
  • Data Analytics & Strategic Skills: Proficient in research and data analysis for strategic decision-making, with experience in audit testing methodologies. 
  • Industry Knowledge & Leadership: Familiarity with the hotel industry customer journey, hotel owner risk, and proven leadership internal audit teams.  

Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the Atlanta office.  This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business. 

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay (as applicable). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
