Per Diem Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with functions as allowed by Title VIII, Article 137 of New York State Education Law, such as preparing and dispensing prescription medications. This position works collaboratively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment providing exemplary front line customer service. This role processes financial transactions involving OTC items and prescriptions, and is responsible for completing each transaction following New York State procedures in regards to prescription pick up, and will accept payment for items at time of service.

We are seeking staff that can be adaptable and have flexibility with their daily work schedule due to our irregular business timetable. This flexibility will allow us to help each customer that visits and needs to use our pharmacy services.

This position offers a pay rate of $23.90 per hour

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma and 6months to 1 year relevant experience or equivalent combination. Relevant experience includes cashiering, payment at time-of-service transactions, or as a pharmacy assistant in a retail or clinical setting.
• High degree of attention to detail, especially in drug accountability, medication accuracy and fiscal responsibility.
