About the role
An exempt, management position responsible for leading and directing surgical specialties for the Good Samaritan Physician Network. Responsible for assisting with strategic planning.
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: The Director is responsible for successfully managing and operating medical practices involving one or more specialty disciplines and/or practice sites. Provides primary care providers with the resources required to meet patient needs and meet the financial objectives of the group practice.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Establishes\implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for all operational areas of the practices.
- Develops/implements long-range plans.
- Manages the daily operations while developing, monitoring, and analyzing budget and financial information cost effectively.
- Oversees HR and ensures effective administration/implementation of compensation, benefits, job descriptions, personnel policies and payroll practices.
- Participates in the selection, training and supervision of all providers.
- Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary actions.
- Resolves administrative and operational problems.
- Facilitates bi-monthly practice committee meetings with medical director as co-lead
- Creates successful Dyad relationship with surgical medical director
- Ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
- Gathers and reports data for fiscal and statistical analysis.
- Coordinates with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
- Serves as a liaison between practice and external agencies.
- Helps chief operating officer develop strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients.
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education: Master's degree in health care administration, business administration, or health administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum five years’ experience in a healthcare setting. Preferred five years of experience in a multispecialty physician group.
