Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide all activities related to the engineering and operational management of a massively scaled Oracle database fleet
• Project long-range requirements for database management and design in conjunction with other service owners in the Oracle Cloud ecosystem
• Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data
• Design, implement, and maintain complex databases, access methods, access time, devise allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, and security
Qualifications include:
• Possess knowledge of performing detailed performance analysis, tuning, and diagnostics for Oracle 19c Databases
• Possess leadership experience to ensure appropriate changes, upgrades, and enhancements are made based on the technical analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field work
• Eight or more years of experience in Oracle Database Engineering
• Deep understanding and expertise in database management features
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work in an extremely fast paced and challenging environment
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in an area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others

These scaling challenges demand deep Oracle Database Administration skills and aggressive leveraging of Oracle technologies and engineering. As a member of this team, database availability, performance, and customer satisfaction will be your top objectives.
Database Administrators / Engineers will spend a significant amount of their time doing operational and reactive work related to maintaining our production databases. When not working on operational issues, the Database Administrator/Engineer is working on engineering tasks such as automation, self-healing monitors, and other efforts to improve operational excellence and database stability. The ideal Database Administration/Engineering candidate has a deep understanding of Oracle Database technologies as well as experience with scripting and automation

This role is remote based with typical office hours.
This role requires participation in on-call rotation.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
