What you will be doing

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for leading and guiding support to the development and deployment of products (Salesforce.com) as per desired project timelines and key launch dates.  This role is key to supporting team associates and acting as a mentor and guide to junior team members. This particular role will support the Salesforce instance of MWI Animal Health, a Cencora company.

They design and execute product roadmap based on the target customer needs and their alignment with product vision. They work closely with engineering, UI/UX Design, project management, and quality and testing teams to manage the complete product cycle. They coordinate with multiple stakeholders to manage the product/feature release ensuring seamless adoption by customers. The role provides excellent opportunity to create products which will hugely impact AB’s internal and external customers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Define product roadmaps based on customer needs, business priorities and inputs of leadership and engineering team - KEY

  • Leverage customer usage, experience, and feedback data to generate and prioritize immediate improvement opportunities in product performance, feature visualization, interface, and usability

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of product ensuring it meets/exceeds the product quality, design, and performance expectations of customers

  • Create a GTM strategy for each release defining customer segments, release timings, customer communication, customer support readiness criteria, and live testing strategy

  • Track the defined product KPIs and create regular reports for the senior leadership to apprise them of the progress and any critical bottleneck

  • Make data backed recommendations on improvement of customer experience, and product performance from various aspects such as customer reach, consumer adoption, product utilization, and product technical performance to uplift the overall product experience

  • Provide guidance to team members and encourage them to achieve their optimum performance

  • Work with engineering and business leadership team to prioritize the feature pipeline basis customer priority, impact, and organization effort

  • Work with team members to find best resolution to any conflicts that occur between business stakeholders and user feedback

  • Support senior stakeholders in creating product vision and strategy by clearly laying out target customer segments, product, and positioning

  • Lead the commercialization process for each release to ensure successful execution in all target markets

  • Lead the end-to-end success of new product capabilities and features from requirements definition through design, development, launch authorization, and post-launch analysis

  • Devise ways to increase customer reach and adoption at different timelines post launch

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure clear and concise documentation of planned features, product use cases and customer stories

  • Collaborate with engineering, UI/UX Design and other teams to prioritize product backlogs and set sprint goals

  • Analyze and support cost center budget associated with delivering the product

  • Provide monthly finance updates 

What your background should look like 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other IT related area. MBA degree is preferred.

  • Salesforce.com or other Customer Relationship Management tool experience preferred.

  • Six (6) or more years of relevant product management or product planning experience

  • Market & consumer research methodologies

  • Strong understanding of SAFe Lean-Agile Principles

  • Prototyping & Design methodologies

  • Knowledge of IT systems and capabilities

  • Data visualization

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, Visio

  • Strong understanding of JIRA and Confluence

  • Knowledge of BI Tools

  • Knowledge of wireframing tools
