About the role

The Operations Manager will direct and oversee the distribution center workflow to achieve the operational objectives of the facility.

The Operations Manager achieves warehouse objectives by contributing information and initiating action plans for process improvement in the areas of productivity, quality, safety, and customer-service standards. Resolving problems, completing audits, and identifying trends are within the scope of an Operations Manager responsibility.

Must comply with all EH&S regulations for the protection of the environment and maintain safe working conditions.
Policies, procedures, and work instructions must be adhered to for quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
Required to meet all operational financial objectives through forecasting requirements and adhering to the annual budget. Responsible for scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Develop and suggest improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout to implement changes.
Participate in root cause analysis to identify problems and recommend changes.
Monitor standard operating procedures and implement resolutions for process improvement.
Accountable for evaluating their Leadership Team and providing feedback regarding job performance and expectations in a timely manner.
May serve on cross-functional teams; responsible for multiple areas or shifts.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand the English language.
Ability to lead and foster a team environment, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and willingness to work alternative shifts as required.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both internal and external.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
Working knowledge of SAP/WMS and understand workflow processes and procedures.
Ability to handle the pressure of deadlines, coupled with frequent interruptions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be exposed to heights up to 30 feet. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
A minimum of 5 years senior level experience in a multi-shift operation required.
Advanced technical skills in logistics processes and methods to include flow, cost efficiencies, engineered standards, equipment, safety and quality.
