Job Title: Sr Cloud Infrastructure and Network Automation Engineer

In office Location: Orange, CT

Reports to: Director - Network Technologies

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $114,332 - $142,916

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure and Network Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based infrastructures and network systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure as code (IaC), and network automation. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure while driving automation and efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

  • Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability.

  • Implement best practices for cloud architecture and security.

  • Develop and maintain automated network deployment and management systems using tools like Ansible, Terraform, etc.

  • Ensure seamless integration of network services with cloud and on-premises environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and security issues.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and network automation.

  • Evaluate and implement automation tools and frameworks to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the reliability and availability of cloud and network infrastructure.

  • Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Work closely with IT teams to support application deployments and infrastructure requirements.

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of cloud and network architectures, configurations, and processes.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation.

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

  • Hands-on experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, etc.).

  • Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation. 

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
