Summary

The Auto Mechanic performs all work required in the service, maintenance and repair of automotive and associated equipment, including auxiliary equipment. Must have the ability to work under general supervision, aptitude for mechanical work and ability to use all materials, tools and equipment commonly associated with repair/service work.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years automotive/mechanical repair experience. 
• Technical school training or automotive certification
• Must possess and maintain a valid U. S. driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving history.
• Must possess or have ability to acquire Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements.
• Must obtain an acceptable score on the Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) Test.
• ASE certification; prior experience with hydraulic or construction equipment repair
• This is a Safety Sensitive position - D.O.T. testing is required.

 

Desired

• Trade school or prior experience.
