Summary
Assist in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial, residential buildings, and industrial applications in compliance with current codes. Typical workday is Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications
- Lays out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in field.
- Connects pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
- Attaches revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
- Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Adhere to company safe working policies and procedures at all times.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED; or 0-6 months related experience or training.
Additional Requirements
Pre-employment drug screen, clean motor vehicle report. Valid drivers license.
