Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer within Systems Integration & Test in the Naval Systems Department. This individual will be a Network Administrator on the SPY-6 radar program.
What You Will Do
- Perform the tactical hardware configuration and maintenance
- Work with advanced RADAR network and system SMEs to evaluate network performance and recommend improvements for optimization
- Perform System Administration tasks
- Support integration and test activities at the Land Based Test Site (LBTS)
- Execute multiple tasks concurrently
- Report task status to program and/or site leadership
- Attain IAT Level II Certification
- Must be able to Obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance
- An area assignment to support LBTSs or Shipyards Newport, VA, Pascagoula, MS, Port Hueneme, CA, or Wallops Island, VA).
- This role can be based out of Marlborough, MA or Portsmouth, RI
- Travel is expected to reach 25% domestically
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience with Linux, Unix, and/or Cisco.
- Experience installing, managing and/or maintaining network switching infrastructure.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working in a classified environment
- Deep understanding of Layer 2 & Layer 3 network protocols including multicast traffic behavior
- Experience with NSA Encryptors, Luks encryption, System monitoring software (preferably OpManager), and DDS communications
- Experience with perimeter firewall roles and operations (especially ForcePoint Next Gen firewall config and management), Risk Management Framework (RMF) security standards, ACAS scanning, STIGs, Cyber mitigation (Application Whitelisting, ACLs, RBAC), Radius, and IdM (Identity Management)
- Master's Degree in Information Technologies, Computer/Network Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline.
