Summary:

 

The Production Control Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing teams receive accurate, timely, and well-organized documentation and data for production. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with advanced Excel skills, strong organizational ability, and experience supporting a manufacturing or production environment.

                                                                                                                          

Core Functions:

  • Maintain and update production and inventory spreadsheets using advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting).
  • Print, organize, and distribute manufacturing documentation such as work orders, material lists, inspection reports, and shipping labels.
  • Convert engineering files and data into machine-readable formats using specialized software.
  • Maintain consistent organization of digital files and printed paperwork for quick retrieval.
  • Assemble and deliver complete production packets (paper and digital) to production teams.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and warehouse staff to confirm data accuracy.
  • Maintain and update inventory lists.
  • Assist production teams with engineering shop calls and updates to fabrication drawings and data.

 

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, and chart creation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in data and documentation.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), traveler sheets, and QC forms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documentation workflows.
  • Comfortable working with computers, printers, and scanners in proximity to production areas.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor) or other production databases.
  • Experience in a fabrication-to-order or project-based manufacturing environment.
  • Training or certifications in Excel, manufacturing systems, or document control.
  • Exposure to project management or production scheduling support.

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

 

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office

equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the

ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and

electronically. The work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description.

Ability to work at other facilities, weekends, other shifts and to be on call.
