Kinnect Summer Intern - Food & Beverage

ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Williamsburg Treats Shop

Status: Seasonal

Compensation: $16.50/hr

Position Summary:

As a Kinnect Summer Intern, you will be spending time in our Retail and Treats locations supporting the daily operations of the Treats shop under the guidance of the leadership team. By completing a vast range of tasks, you’ll be able to build substantial work experience, with the goal of adding to all you’ve accomplished with the Kinnect Foundation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Continuously providing an exceptional experience for each of our Treats customers that is friendly and welcoming.

• Ensure customers are receiving genuine and efficient service both during and after their shop experience.

• Ensure assigned tasks are completed in an effective and timely manner

• Using time between customers to manage inventory levels, to ensure we are always prepared.

• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures

• Follow all Food & Safety process, policies, and procedures.

• Assist in completion and accuracy of any/all operational tasks, as business needs.

• Assist Shops Management team with housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, sanitizing, collection of trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food and beverage operations.

Skills/Abilities:

• Basic computer and math skills

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job – standing/walking for prolonged periods of time

• Ability to stand for a prolonged periods of time

• Lifting or moving up to 15 pounds

• Bending, twisting as well as other physical tasks related to standard Food and Beverage operations

• Ability to multi-task

• Department of Health Food Handlers Certificate or ServeSafe Good Handlers Certificate
