Job Description

As a Security Officer - Commercial Building - Afternoon Shift in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will play a key role in fostering a secure and welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will be the first point of contact for individuals on site, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while assisting with access control and monitoring alarm systems. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and property loss.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, and maintenance concerns as observed during patrols.
• Communicate and collaborate with property management and/or building staff as needed to address security-related concerns and support site operations.
• Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and information to tenants, employees, and visitors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
