Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability is seeking multiple Senior Software Engineers located in El Segundo, California, Huntington Beach, California, Annapolis Junction, Maryland, or Fairfax, Virginia.

The position will involve creating software for world class, next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system. Our software products help solve Boeing's most challenging problems across Commercial Airplanes, Defense Space & Security, and Global Services businesses. Projects can range from new cyber security solutions for the revolutionary 787 Dreamliner to innovative aircraft, creating virtual avionics development test environments across several commercial, defense, satellite, and space platforms, satellite payload technologies, and autonomy.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system

• Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

• Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities

• Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics

• Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects

• Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations

• Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards

• Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system

• 1+ years of experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Experience with C++, Python, or other programming languages

• Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools such as (or similar to) Git, Jira, Collaborator, Beyond Compare, and VersionOne

• Experience with Agile development methodologies
