Lakota - Maintenance Trades Helper/Automotive Mechanic

Lakota Solutions is currently searching for a Maintenance Trades Helper/Vehicle Mechanic to provide support for work located at Red River Army Depot, TX. The Maintenance Trades Helper assists one or more of our Maintenance Technicians who are responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing MHE, automotive, and other industrial equipment, as well as performing planned maintenance inspections, safety and operational tests, conferring with customers and reviewing recommended repairs, estimating or quoting repair costs, placing parts orders, and completing repair paperwork, etc.

The Maintenance Trades Helper will be responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:

· Keeping workers supplied with materials and tools

· Cleaning working areas, machines, and equipment

· Assisting Maintenance Technicians by holding materials or tools

· Performing other unskilled tasks as directed by Maintenance Technician

Requirements

Candidate minimum requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen

Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain common access card (CAC)

Candidate must have 3+ months experience with the following:

· Automotive maintenance/mechanical work.

· Following instructions on labels for proper and safe use of tools and equipment.

· Communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from customers and others.

· Human relations skills to build effective working relationships.

· Basic mathematical ability, ability to read and use measurements.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities; and fill-in during absences to maintain quality of service.

· Ability to manage and accurately track material resources and time and adapt to changing work priorities.

· Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common-sense skills.
