The Human Resources Assistant will provide support to both hourly and salaried associates with HR related matters. This position is the primary HR support for associates, focused on documentation, and HRIS system administration.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Maintains recordkeeping, and data entry of associates in the HRIS system
- Assists HR team in compliance related activities
- Participates in Committee and Management meetings, and assists with preparation of documents and records
- Ensures documentation, procedures, and actions are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
- Support engagement
- Serves as the main employee contact for the payroll related activities
- Assists in the recruitment process to include interview schedule, pre-employment screening, and on-boarding, primarily for hourly associates
- Assist in coordinating Open Enrollment activities for associates
- Builds the relationship, primarily with hourly associates, by assisting in minor employee relations matters such as payroll and benefits
Your Education Should Be…
Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience; aPHR or PHR certification desired.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to organize and build relationships
- 2-3 years' experience in documentation, benefit administration, payroll and HRIS
- Analytical thinker with strong multitasking ability.
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to handle and successfully complete multiple priorities, work well under pressure
- Decision-making ability, commitment to high standards and strong commitment to team approach
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- Office Environment
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other
- Computer and screen work more than 90% of the time
- Manufacturing Plant – required PPE when necessary
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
Experience: 2-3 years Human Resources administrative activities preferred.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive material.
- Must demonstrate an ability to interview candidates and assess their capabilities of fitting in with the organization and position.
