Job Overview

As a QMS Manager at TE Connectivity's Industrial BU, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of our business system, within the industrial sector, while working as part of a remote team. In addition to QMS responsibilities, you will also manage Internal Audits, Control of Documents, and Reporting processes

The role is connected with travelling (25%) across Europe, China, Taiwan.

Your main tasks:

  • QMS Development and Maintenance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) specific to the Industrial Business Unit, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (as ISO 9001) and regulations, industry-specific standards, and cross sub verticals specifics.
    • Ensure a user-friendly QMS, tailored to Industrial BU and its user’s needs
  • Document Management and Communication
    • Manage the creation, review, and approval of quality-related documents, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and records tailored to the Industrial BU's needs.
    • Ensure proper communication to the community whenever an Industrial BU quality related-document is created or updated, and promote the necessary training
  • Internal Audits Management:
    • Plan, conduct, and oversee internal system audits according to ISO 9001 to assess the effectiveness of the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop program for self-assessment by the manufacturing locations of their manufacturing processes.
    • Maintain audit records, findings, and corrective actions.
    • Follow-up deadlines of planned corrective and preventive actions plans, and initiate escalation when necessary
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate reports on quality performance and trends specific to the Industrial BU, providing insights to management for decision-making
  • Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Industrial BU to identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
    • Work closely with the business system process owners to drive continuous improvement.
    • Use data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the industrial secto
      • Training and Education:
        • Develop and deliver training programs related to the QMS specific to the Industrial BU, ensuring that employees understand and adhere to quality standards and procedures.
        • Develop skill matrixes and development journeys for the quality roles in Industrial BU.
        • Provide Training on ISO9001, Control of Documents, Internal Audits, Management of Non-Conformities, Problem Solving, Management Review, etc.
          • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's quality systems are up to date
          • Give input for IND continuous improvement strategies to support the organization’s manufacturing quality, cost reduction goals and standardization of processes.

           

Your ideal background:

  • Engineer with university degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., engineering, quality management, industrial engineering)
  • 5+ years experience in Quality Management and QMS implementation in the automotive or industry sector.
  • Strong Knowledge of Quality Management System Standards (MUST ISO 9001, IATF 16494, Optional EN9100, or others
  • Relevant certifications in quality management and in audits (such as VDA 6.1, VDA 6.3, VDA 6.5) are a plus
  • Proficiency in SharePoint for QMS development, Document Control, and Internal Audit Management.
  • Proficiency in reporting and analysis, knowledge in Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience with quality management software and tools is a plus.
