Job Description:

Department Overview:

TD Banks Global Physical Security's Threat Assessment team is seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Assessment Specialist to join their team. In this role the candidate will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing and enhancing the security posture of owned and leased facilities. This role is responsible for identifying physical security vulnerabilities, recommending mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in security assessments, threat analysis, and physical protection systems.

Job Summary:

The Crime Prevention Specialist provides internal and external direction and advice on protection of organizational assets and human resources by consulting to internal partners on operational needs. Primary liaison with law enforcement. Manages relationships with senior business leaders and acts as ambassadors who build awareness of GSI's Physical Security programs and engages with partners to leverage these services.

  • Contributes to setting standards within area of expertise
  • Solves complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholders
  • Uses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend standards against which others will operate
  • Impacts a range of functional programs and operations across own and related teams
  • Interprets guidelines, standards, policies and results of analysis to inform decision making at senior levels
  • Builds stakeholder alignment in leading projects and activities; may provide process and subject matter advice at senior levels
  • Works independently as the senior technical lead and guides others within area of expertise
  • Identifies and leads problem resolution for complex issues at all levels

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required
  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Professional designation in security management (e.g. ASIS Certified Protection Professional [CPP], CSIS Accredited Security Professional [ASP] or Certified Security Professional [CSP], preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of physical security and crime prevention methods, regulatory environment, banking industry, policies and procedures, products, services, systems and reporting
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends
  • Skill in mentoring/coaching others
  • Skill in identifying complex problems, reviewing related information, developing and evaluating options and implementing effec
