Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s SCM - Supply Chain Management Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Supply Chain Analyst.

The primary responsibilities of this role includes ensuring accurate inventory information, ensuring accurate transaction processing and reporting, responding and acting on abnormalities, timely escalating of issues to management, effectively managing change points, and building and maintaining sound relationships with customers and regulatory authorities.

Reporting to the SCM Manager, the person in this role will support the department’s objective to maintain accurate and timely processing of inventory transactions, including conformity with applicable regulations that are included with TMMI’s (Toyota Indiana) Foreign Trade Zone.  

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintain indirect parts inventory by utilizing systems such as SAP.

  • Communicate closely with the shops and suppliers to obtain needed information regarding parts transactions. 

  • Enter and maintain necessary data into SAP or applicable systems. 

  • Determine accuracy of data to make sure information is complete and available when needed.

  • Analyze data daily for abnormal conditions.

  • Escalate issues to management on a timely basis.

  • Develop, visualize, and monitor KPI’s, Operating Procedures, and Project Schedules

  • Supporting Customs Border Patrol visits, requests, and audit activities – following all CBP regulations and guidelines.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant work experience in inventory management.

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data, develop pivot tables, graph data, and perform analytics to surface issues.   

  • Ability to quickly understand inventory functions and perform data input. 

  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft applications: PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills. 

  • This position requires a driving license and a motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards.

  • Candidate must pass a criminal background check - required by Customs Border Patrol.

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Experience with supply chain transactions.

  • Experience with FTZ management

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
