About the Position:the Director of Data, your role encompasses crafting a robust data strategy that aligns with organizational goals. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to integrate data initiatives with business objectives and drive innovation. Managing a skilled data team, you'll oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data infrastructure to uphold security and scalability standards. Implementing cutting-edge data solutions to enhance operational efficiency will be pivotal. Your proficiency in change management will facilitate smooth transitions, and your governance leadership will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Collaborate with department leadership to define the organization's long-term IT goals and objectives, translating them into a comprehensive Data collection strategy.
  • Conduct regular assessments of trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for leveraging data to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop a technology adoption and integration roadmap, ensuring alignment with the organization's growth trajectory.
  • Team Management:
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a high-performing data team with a diverse skill set to effectively manage the organization's data collection ecosystem.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their technical skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the IT data team, fostering an environment that encourages open communication and cross-functional cooperation.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, setting clear objectives, providing constructive feedback, and recognizing outstanding contributions.
  • Infrastructure Management:
  • Lead the design and deployment of a reliable and scalable data system infrastructure that supports the organization's current and future needs.
  • Through proactive monitoring and maintenance, ensure the continuous availability, security, and high performance of all internal data systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their data collection requirements and align infrastructure development with overall business needs.
  • Technology Solutions:
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of existing data technology solutions, identifying gaps and opportunities for optimization.
  • Evaluate potential data technology vendors and partners, assessing their capabilities and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Additional duties as assigned
