Senior Accountant

The main scope of the position is monitoring and controlling our monthly financial reporting process, executing SOX controls and ensuring that our financial processes are in compliance with NXP policies and directives as well as with local law and requirements.</p><p></p><p>Your responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Coordinate and execute the month-end close process and stay aligned with all process and P&amp;L owners, like the Country Controller, Transactional Center of Excellence, Business Controllers, Manufacturing Controllers and the Tax team</li><li>Ensure compliance with US GAAP and NXP policies/directives, through performing detailed analysis</li><li>Execute the monthly and quarterly reporting related SOX controls</li><li>Sparring partner and problem solver to safeguard a smooth day to day finance and accounting operation</li><li>Support the Country Controller in the audit process</li><li>Support treasury activities related to cash forecast and hedging process</li><li>Coordinate and execute financial related government surveys</li><li>Compiling the Statutory Financial Report for the NL entity.</li></ul><p></p><p>Job Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor in Finance or Accounting with 10 years of work experience, having a few years of experience in audit is a plus</li><li>SAP and Excel expert</li><li>Excellent understanding of finance and accounting processes and practices</li><li>Self-directed, pro-active nature with a hands-on mentality and flexible in adapting to a changing environment, requirements and deadlines</li><li>Strong analytical skill with independent judgement to conclude on accounting topics</li><li>Strong problem solving skills</li><li>Experience in dealing with big data</li><li>Fluent communication skills in English and preferably Dutch</li></ul><p></p><p>You will be reporting to the Country Controller of the Netherlands, and part of the F&amp;A team (5 FTE based in Eindhoven).
