Good news! 1WorldSync is looking for a Director, Sales Engineers to join our team. 1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With approximately 600 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we’re seeking a Director, Sales Engineers to support our growing global team.Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Director, Sales Engineers will grow and lead our sales engineering organization globally. You will lead our existing sales engineers and help us grow and strengthen the team. You will align closely with our CRO and Customer Experience, Product Management, and Engineering to help close deals and execute strategic solutions for customers and partners. We need a seasoned pre-sales leader with a proven track record growing a global sales engineering organization.As Director, Sales Engineers at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:
- Sales Engineering Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of Sales Engineers (SEs) who are experts in our products and can articulate their value proposition to customers.
- Develop and implement sales engineering strategies to support the sales team in closing deals, including product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and technical presentations.
- Collaborate closely with the sales leadership team to align sales and technical strategies.
- Technical Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to ensure our sales team remains competitive and informed.
- Serve as a technical resource for the sales team, providing guidance on complex technical inquiries and objection handling.
- Collaborate with product management to communicate customer feedback and technical requirements to enhance our product offerings.
- Sales Support:
- Partner with sales leadership to define and implement sales processes that incorporate technical sales support effectively.
- Work closely with sales teams on key accounts, assisting with technical sales strategies, and participating in customer meetings as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing to create technical content that supports the sales process, such as whitepapers, case studies, and product documentation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of experience in industries related to our key customer verticals (CPG Grocery, CPG General Merchandise, Hardlines, Healthcare, Foodservice and other Industry Verticals)
- 10+ years of experience in building and leading sales engineering teams in a global scale
- 10+ years of experience working directly with large customers to assess requirements and understand needs
- Strong understanding of sales process, sales strategies and partnering with cross functional teams to drive revenue
- Fluency in brick and mortar retail, ecommerce, and related item-setup operations
- Ability to translate corporate strategy, business requirements, and customer expectations into solution strategy
- Strong ability to participate in multiple concurrent efforts and/or sales cycles and initiatives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of driving revenue growth
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team
