HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking Electronics Technician Maintenance III

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
• Performs systems operations and maintenance.
• Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents.
• As technician/operator, applies technical knowledge in troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, repairing to the component level, and incorporating engineering changes.
• Work typically requires some understanding of the interrelationships of analog, digital, mechanical, and RF operating system diagnostics and circuits.
• Also, performs operation, maintenance, and installation of fiber optic, carrier cable, microwave communication, tactical radio, and range instrumentation systems.
• Inspects connections, fittings, and installed wire and cable sections for conformance to specifications.
• Uses complex test instruments such as pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and computer analytical equipment. Provides technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
• As senior technician applies advanced technical knowledge in complex troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, repairs to the component level, and incorporating engineering changes.
• Exercises independent judgment on tasks such as making circuit analyses, calculating waveforms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.
• Installs, tests, and repairs communications equipment by using schematic diagrams, testing devices, and hand tools. Tests newly installed equipment and repairs or replaces faulty equipment, utilizing complex test equipment.
• Maintains equipment and analyzes operational malfunctioning with testing devices, such as oscilloscopes, generators, meters, and electric bridges, to locate and diagnose nature of defect and necessary repairs.
• Examines mechanism and disassembles components to replace, clean, adjust or repair parts, wires, switches, relays, circuits, or signaling units.
• Performs organizational and intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Performs system operation. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for compliance to accepted practices.
• Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
