Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Program Management Director to join our growing Energy Team.
This position will perform Program Management Director duties in support of our industrial practice on a variety of energy projects with a focus of hydrogen production, transport and storage facilities. The successful candidate should be a dynamic, self-directed individual with a strong technical potential to develop and deliver innovative energy projects.
The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Providing the organization with strong technical leadership and strategic direction.
- Coordinating with interdisciplinary technical leads to achieve successful execution of complex projects
- Interacting with clients
- Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects
- Supporting changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
- Validating Estimates to Completion
- Participation in HAZOP reviews
- Working with market sector leaders to identify new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them.
- Working in a team environment (virtual and periodically in office)
- Supporting development of technical proposals.
- Completion of AECOM’s internal project management certification program
DCS—Energy

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership.
- 12 years of relevant experience in consulting, engineering, or project management in the industrial sector.
- Experience with management of the design of commercial scale green hydrogen production facilities including associated electrolysis and liquefaction processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in petrochemical industry including but not limited to LNG, Gas processing, Oil & Gas Upstream gathering, petrochemical, and power generation.
- 20 + years of relevant experience in consulting, engineering, or project management in the industrial sector
- Availability for occasional travel within the United States
