The Pedro Gomez Foundation and NAHJ have partnered to offer summer 2025 internships at The Arizona Republic.
The Pedro Gomez Foundation was founded to honor the legacy of the award-winning sports journalist who passed away in 2021. Pedro was a beat writer, columnist and on-air reporter who worked for The Republic before his long career at ESPN.
This internship is for a bilingual student. Successful candidates must demonstrate speaking proficiency in Spanish and English.
Requirements:
• Enrolled full time at a U.S. college or university.
• In the fall of 2025 will be a junior, senior or graduate student.
• Majoring in journalism or communications.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• This role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
