Job Description
Responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials and products within the warehouse and at event sites. Primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and ensuring that materials are stored in the designated areas. Work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials and products throughout the warehouse and event sites.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize inventory in designated storage areas to ensure efficient space utilization.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Inspect forklifts before each use and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Assist in counting and verifying inventory to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to fulfill orders and meet deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse by keeping aisles clear and removing debris.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks and prioritize work.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent coordination and spatial awareness.
- Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Capable of bending, stooping, and reaching overhead.
- Comfortable working in varied temperatures and environments, including indoors and outdoors.
- Good vision and hearing to operate equipment safely and communicate effectively.
