About the role

What You Can Expect

As our Retail Operations Analyst, Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for facilitating cash postings, analyzing, and remediating cash applications for all cash receipts, ensuring accurate and timely application to customers’ accounts. In this role, you will act as a liaison to the Collections team, reconcile daily cash postings, and research discrepancies to ensure proper resolution. Additionally, you will build and maintain a fundamental understanding of cross-functional principles, from deal inception and pricing to post-flow accounting. You will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various projects involving system enhancements, product development, market changes, and system testing. This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Cash Application Advisor.

 

 

  • Cash Management: Ensure timely and accurate cash matching in ENGIE’s ERP system, reconcile daily cash receipts, and analyze discrepancies
  • Collaboration: Work with sales, billing, care, collections, legal, and accounting teams to resolve customer disputes and drive process improvements
  • Reporting: Generate reconciliation reports, track in-transit cash receipts, and manage accounting and credit reporting requirements
  • Process Improvement: Suggest changes in remittance policies, participate in cross-functional projects, and recommend process improvements to enhance customer experience

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, or 10 years relevant industry experience in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of retail energy industry experience
  • You have extensive knowledge of retail Commercial and Industrial (C&I) energy operations, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • You are knowledgeable in market Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions
  • You have direct billing and accounts receivable experience
  • You are proficient in using relevant software and tools for energy operations and financial management

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $179,655 USD annually

 

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
