Position and Unit Overview

• Part Time; 24 hours per week
• Day Shift; 7am - 3:30pm (3 x 8 hour)
• ACLS within one year
• ED, ICU, or Telemetry experience (must be able to read rhythm strips)
• You will be educating patients, monitoring rhythm strips, monitoring blood pressure and pulse oximeter, listening to lung sounds, and conducting patient intakes.

Our patient population may include patients with:

• Angioplasty and stenting
• Cardiomyopathy
• Stable angina
• Coronary artery bypass surgery
• Heart failure
• Myocardial infarction
• Heart valve replacement

Our program involves exercise training, emotional support, and education about a heart-healthy lifestyle that includes eating a nutritious diet, managing weight, and quitting smoking. We have 10 patients at a time and have 5 classes per day.

Minimum Requirements

License and Certification

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS within one (1) year

Education

• RN-Associate’s Degree
• RN-Bachelor’s Degree
• RN-Diploma
• RN-Master’s Degree
