Job Description:

20 % Club/Session Planning & Preparation 
 

  • Co-lead the socialization/sensitization of the clubs to village councils/relevant stakeholders when new clubs are to be established in a new location, alongside CESC Team. 

  • Responsible for community/parent engagement to encourage children sign-up and manage registration process.  

  • Work with CESC to ensure registered children and non-registered children are recruited and attending with prioritization of social inclusion and the most vulnerable. 

  • Lead the recruitment and contract management process for field coordinators, facilitators & janitors of children/adolescent clubs for each club in designated area, in consultation with CESC Coordinator & Officer 

  • Under supervision from the CESC Coordinator and with technical supervision/support from the Life Skills Technical Lead, plan club sessions, including all necessary procurement of materials and supplies.  

  • Ensure a physical location for each club in area of responsibility is identified, prepared, and set-up for each kids’ clubs as per WVI standards for Makani and/or IMPACT club locations. 

40% Clubs/Session Implementation
 

  • Ensure the operation of established children and adolescent clubs (Makani and IMPACT) and implementation of sessions, according to the agreed calendar and session plan. This includes ensuring availability of all necessary tools, including handbooks, club operations manual, and all other materials/forms (approximately 15 clubs).  

  • Manage field coordinators contracted to support in the field work with established clubs and facilitators. Ensure each club has the necessary staffing in place (i.e. field coordinator, facilitator, janitor), staffing is on site as per required, and completes all necessary tasks. Ensure all facilitators and staff understand the SEL and flexible sessions and schedule, according to age, gender and inclusion. 

  • Manage the facilitators’ contracts, quarterly payments, club logistics and financial payments. 

  • Coordinate with the Child Protection team and any other relevant team members to ensure smooth operation/implementation of flexible sessions (Ex. flexible session focused on PSS).  
    Other duties as assigned to ensure clubs are operating well and achieving intended results.

    Capacity Building 

    • With technical supervision and support from the Life Skills Technical Lead, provide training on theory, curricula, sessions and delivery methodology (ex. Active learning) to field coordinators and facilitators, as newly joined and in a refresher capacity, according to capacity building or training plans prepared by the Life Skills Technical Lead.  

    • Contribute to the design and content
