In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on our NEW Zscaler Business Insights product. Business Insights is an Emerging Product to explore how we might use Zscaler's data to create new products and features around adjacent use cases. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership to the team to deliver impactful milestones for product deliveries. 
• Develop and uphold a high standard of software engineering to provide the highest standard of reliability and availability.
• Innovate and experiment with various techniques to improve the system both in performance and functionalities.
• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of major software deliverables. Proactively look into the cross functional dependencies and provide solutions. 
• Implement and promote engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Define and implement engineering productivity best practices for test, automation, CI/CD and service debug-ability  and telemetry.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Actively contribute to recruiting, mentoring and developing engineering talent providing guidance and support to enhance individual and team performance
• You will be responsible for product features related to data transformations, enrichment and analytics, and seize every opportunity to refactor code in the interests of  maintainability and reusability
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and bring out the best in them

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software development experience
• Expert level technical knowledge and experience in Java, Concurrency and Distributed Computing.
• Experience in building high performance, scalable web services
• Experience in Big Data integration via Hadoop, strong knowledge in SQL and ELT
• Experience developing micro services and API's
• Experience in Data Engineering and analytics systems and services with working knowledge of Kakfa, Redis, Kubernettes and Cloud data platforms like Azure, AWS, Google.  
• Proficiency with Maven (preferred) or Gradle build and dependency management systems.
• Experience  in building high performance data analytics services. 
• Metrics driven development experience and experience using metrics systems like Grafana, Prometheus, etc
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to fostering an agile culture.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical strategy and make sound architectural decisions
• BS Computer Science or Equivalent

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$175,000—$205,000 USD
