About the role

We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our Wild Fork team! This is an in-office role, Monday – Friday, in Miami, FL.  Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS
  • Collaborate with department heads to align accounting practices with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting operations
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and safeguard company assets.
    • Review journal entries
  • Sign off on bank account reconciliations 
  • Review of sales and intercompany reconciliations 
    • Investigate unusual transactions and balances in the GL and subledger reports 
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Coordinate training programs to keep the team updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Utilize technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness in financial reporting and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with external audits and respond to audit findings promptly  
  • Monitor compliance with company policy and procedures
  • Periodically evaluate performance of all employees in compliance with company policy (at least annually) 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification or MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; SAP preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail – demonstrated ability to review detailed financial statements with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to juggle competing projects and achieve accurate results, excellent time management skills, and flexibility to meet changing priorities
