This position is PRN, rotating, at University Hospital. It is an opportunity to cover open MRI and CT positions.
Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in multiple modalities for radiological diagnosis. Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly to ensure diagnostic images. Must include work in at least one advanced modality and be actively working in two or more advanced modalities. Responsible for meeting job requirements of applicable modalities.
- Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
- Requires active status through the following: American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT), the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers {ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), as required per specific modality. Must have advance imaging credentials as required per specific modalities. Advanced credential does not include general radiography, ARRT(R).
- Requires technologist to work in two or more advanced modalities; does not include general radiography.
- Requires license from Indiana State Department of Health, as required per specific modality.
