A Day in the Life:

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Technical Project Manager with strong analytical skills to lead and manage data-driven projects. This role requires a strong culture fit, excellent people skills, and the ability to drive project success through collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong follow-through, be a quick learner, and demonstrate an ability to ask insightful questions to manage complex technical projects effectively. They will be responsible for leading product data management activities, project change management, data analysis, and process documentation while learning and working with various internal systems and tools.

  • Lead end-to-end project management for technical initiatives, collaborating with business and technology partners to ensure successful execution and delivery.
  • Oversee the project change management process, managing timelines, product enrichment, error resolution, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate data exports, manipulation, and analysis to support project needs and decision-making.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including process guidelines and training materials.
  • Provide technical expertise and governance support for product data management, ensuring project deliverables meet the defined objectives.
  • Collaborate with technology teams during Agile sprints, contributing to the successful deployment of new functionality.
  • Manage and triage technical issues and bugs, coordinating with business and technology teams to resolve them efficiently.
  • Utilize tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence to track project progress, manage tasks, and maintain transparency across teams.
  • Engage in continuous learning and adaptability to new tools, systems, and methodologies to support evolving project needs.

What it takes:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing critical technology projects in fast-paced Agile environments, with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (certification a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to create detailed project plans and manage cross-team dependencies using a structured, detail-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to manage high-visibility risks and issues, and remove roadblocks for the project team to ensure successful delivery.
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire project teams, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Ability to analyze and proactively address project-related issues with strong problem-solving methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with key stakeholders and leadership at a detailed technical level.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
  • Experience with technology migration projects, with publishing/catalog and retail, digital, or technology experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive results independently while thriving in collaborative environments.
  • Proven track record of fostering a collaborative and productive culture within project teams.
  • Contribute to and lead process improvement activities where appropriate.
  • Seattle local preferred, who are willing to work from an office downtown on 2nd Avenue twice a week
