Role and Position Overview

Citi Wholesale Lending is executing a multi‑year modernization initiative to upgrade global platforms supporting Agency, Non‑Agency, and Bi‑lateral lending activities. A core component of this strategy is the migration to the LoanIQ platform and decommissioning of legacy systems. To support this transformation and ongoing business operations, Citi is seeking a Senior LoanIQ Product Expert, responsible for functional oversight, platform governance, and global SME leadership within the Production Support organization.

This role reports to the Global Head of Lending (Loan) Services Production Support.

The ideal candidate will possess deep LoanIQ product expertise, strong understanding of end‑to‑end lending workflows, and the ability to partner closely with Operations, Technology, and Vendor teams to ensure accurate, stable, and compliant platform performance.

The Apps Support Group Manager is accountable for the management of complex, critical, and large‑scale functional areas. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of how multiple lending and technology disciplines interact to achieve business objectives. The senior manager applies deep functional knowledge of LoanIQ, strong commercial awareness, and strategic leadership to deliver a full range of production services across regions.

The Senior Manager serves as the primary LoanIQ functional authority within the production environment and leads a global team of LoanIQ SMEs responsible for functional analysis, issue remediation, best‑practice adoption, and standardized platform usage. The role engages with senior regional leadership, global Operations teams, Technology owners, and Finastra.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary LoanIQ SME for complex loan structures, lifecycle events, GL behavior, interest and fee events, and cash‑flow processing.

  • Provide expert guidance on LoanIQ configuration, including lender share changes, restructures, payment events, GL mapping, and upstream /downstream integrations.

  • Lead functional governance for LoanIQ releases, patches, hotfixes, and enhancements to ensure end‑to‑end operational readiness.

  • Conduct impact assessments, drive functional triage, and oversee remediation of product‑related issues.

  • Lead and manage a global team of LoanIQ SMEs, ensuring consistent follow‑the‑sun functional coverage.

  • Define team priorities, manage resource allocations, and ensure delivery of high‑quality functional support and analysis.

  • Mentor and develop SME talent; create knowledge‑sharing structures, training materials, and capability‑building programs.

  • Ensure consistent functional standards, documentation, and best practices across all regions.

  • Serve as the functional liaison between Operations, Technology, and Vendor partners for all LoanIQ‑related matters.

  • Translate production issues into functional enhancements and advise on long‑term product improvements.

  • Participate in global steering committees, governance forums, and design sessions for platform or business initiatives.

  • Act as the functional owner in discussions with Finastra regarding defects, enhancements, and product roadmap alignment.

  • Prioritize product fixes and improvements based on risk, client impact, and strategic relevance.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape global platform strategy, adoption plans, and standardization frameworks.

  • Drive transparency in issue escalation, risk reporting, and remediation tracking.
