ROLE:

The Womenswear’s Styling Manager will be a highly creative and inspiring individual. Along with the Styling Manager guiding the Styling team to expertly deliver thousands of commercial and inspirational photographs and videos every week across all MATCHES categories.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Able to communicate well and motivate as part of a team in a fast paced in environment.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
  • Impeccable fashion and styling sense with and exceptional eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Previous management experience essential.
  • Pro-active and able to show initiative and implement ideas to constantly improve the image quality and studio processes.
  • Be fashion and designer literate, with a strong understanding of all brands and seasonal trends.
  • Proactive with the ability to react positively to evolving business requirements.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Styling portfolio essential.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Line managing a team of mid-level stylists creating performance and development plans, bi-weekly 1-1’s and annual reviews.
  • Working closely with Global Styling Lead to ensure all products are impeccably styled to best reflects the MATCHES buy and fashion authority.
  • Monitor processes and guidelines, to ensure team is achieving daily targets.
  • Complete rail approvals for stylists of all levels.
  • Work closely with the Global Styling Manager and Photography Manager to ensure the studio daily and weekly shoot targets are fulfilled.
  • Work with Styling and Production management team to prioritise product to be shot.
  • Ensure re-shoots are kept below 3.5% work compile and present reshoot reports to be shared with the wider team.
  • Assist with the implementation of Styling guide updates.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage and attend designer training sessions and buyer’s collection ‘downloads’ each season ensuring styling team presence.
  • Lead weekly meetings with the Buying team, to discuss upcoming new brands, styling direction and any feedback. Communicate this information to the styling team and ensure it is adhered to.
  • Analyse weekly sell through and slow seller reports to make sure appropriate products are being featured.
  • Work with the Merchandise Co-ordinator and Global Styling Lead to ensure the styling cupboard is fully stocked with appropriate product and stock is rotated regularly to help drive sales.
