Senior Accountant

Our company is experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This accountant will be responsible for financial reporting and business accounting for Bergen Logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily reconciliation of multiple bank accounts across 5 subsidiaries.
• Prepare daily cash flow.
• Process intercompany journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting package
• Assist with month end closing and accruals, prepaid amortization, balance sheet reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain schedules and supporting documentation needed for management reporting and auditing.
• Liaise between the accounting finance department and other departments within the company.
• Other general accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3+ years experience within the general ledger and bank reconciliation
• Proficient in Excel with vlookup and pivot tables
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
