Join Cleveland Clinic’s H81 Internal Medicine Telemetry Unit as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and experience being a part of a nationally ranked hospital while building an exceptional career. Caregivers on our H81 Internal Medicine Telemetry Unit care for adult patients with complex multi-system failure issues, such as congestive heart failure and sepsis, or require ongoing cardiac monitoring. This unit also has a closed observation pod, where caregivers look after patients who need an extra level of care.
A PRN caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, from 7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
Perform routine laboratory tests.
Educate patients and family members.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of patient care experience

Physical Requirements:
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination.
Involves extensive standing and walking.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
