Warehouse Supervisor

Summary/Objective

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing employees, systems, and processes related to inventory, order construction, and the loading of products for distribution, while ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, legality, and integrity.

 

Essential Functions

1. Plan, oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities; receive, process, issues and ship, assure stock and warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
2. Assist with providing necessary security within the warehouse.
3. Maintain a variety of records, files, and reports, maintain records of stock and order supplies as necessary.
4. Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe and secure manner.
5. Supervise warehouse personnel by setting direction and priorities.
6. Assist with team development and cross training.
7. Ensure all warehouse employees adhere to customer compliance and shipping requirements including packaging requirements, cartons and pallet labeling.
8. Research all customer compliance violations and identify improvement where necessary.
9. Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, operate a computer and assigned software to input data and generate reports tools as required.
10. Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe and secure condition; ensure the warehouse department complies with GMP’s EHS, and OSHA regulations.
11. Have working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
12. Familiar with customer receiving compliance requirement, FedEx Ship Manager, UPS World Ship, WMS, etc.
13. Perform other duties as assigned. 
14. Monitor WM/MM system competition of all documents within system affecting Warehouse movements.
15. Variety of reporting including goods, movements, volumes and costs.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

 

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.

 

Travel
Less than 10%

 

Required Qualifications

1. Associate's degree in related field
2. 5+ years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Food & beverage industry experience
4. Minimum of 2 years of SAP experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred
