About the role
The Sr. IT Business Analyst will be responsible for leading multiple projects from requirements through implementation. The associate will coordinate and execute changes to World’s business systems and provide support to the system’s users. This position will lead the coordination effort for new software implementations within World business divisions. This position will also work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to learn business processes, police, and procedures that align with departmental application and systems. The Sr. IT Business Analyst is engaged in scope definition, requirements analysis, documentation, troubleshooting user issues, quality assurance testing and other relevant tasks that are part of our software development lifecycle and business support function. This position will require the individual to be proficient in SQL in order to write and execute queries. In addition, the role will provide tier 2 application support to end users, identifying inefficiencies and issues while working with IT team members to create and implement solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage concurrent projects from requirements through implementation and tier 2 support. This will include working closely with other departments such as Compliance, Legal, IT Infrastructure, Training and Operations to ensure all systems being developed meet company mandates.
- Provide ongoing updates and when required presentations to Sr. Management and stakeholders on project schedules, KPI’s, timelines and status of assigned projects.
- Track, analyze and report on project metrics – progress (planned and actual), change impact, dependencies, risks and ROI (planned and actual)
- Work with management on project prioritizations and provide advice on resource limitations, changes in business priorities or other factors that could impact the overall project list.
- Mentor Jr. Business Analysts on working with other departments, building requirements, and rolling out projects to production.
- Provide advice on process improvements as they relate to our business.
- Work closely with stakeholders and other IT resources to define business requirements for new technology implementations.
- Responsible for business analysis deliverable in SDLC framework (Documenting requirements, delivering business design, and delivering QA plans and scripts).
- Work closely with the IT development and support staff to clarify hardware and software requirements.
- Document detailed requirements to clearly define the business needs, benefits, and deliverables for each project.
- Acquire a working knowledge of existing technical processes and apply this knowledge to assigned tasks and projects.
- Acquire an expert knowledge of business-critical software applications and apply this knowledge in supporting end users and working with business managers on operational changes.
- Participate in new software application implementation projects by completing documentation, testing and/or training tasks.
- Position will follow all security guidelines and will comply with all components of our privacy and security policies.
- Maintain a complete and accurate record of all project work.

- Understanding of relational databases and SQL proficiency.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Able to gather, document, and execute detailed specifications from high-level requirements with little supervision.
